Official soundtrack release from Community Action Center (2010), the now-classic 69-minute sociosexual video by A.K. Burns and A.L. Steiner which incorporated the erotics of a community where the personal is not only political, but sexual. This project served as distinct portraits of the body politic & landscapes of a queer time and place. Community Action Center is a unique contemporary aural and visual composition that serves as both an ode and a hole-filler. This project focusing on queer sex and feminist agency is an intimate archive of an intergenerational community built on collaboration, friendship, sex and art. The artists and tracks featured on the uniquely dynamic and hypnotic soundtrack have created an infinitely complex limited-release soundscape, imagined to last through the ages. Available is a limited-edition LP which contains previously unreleased tracks and audio works scored specifically for the film, including two tracks not available in the digital format.
